Plavity - Its playtime!

"What's in the name" - William Shakespeare had said. But, somehow, I get tempted to find a suitable name; whether its a baby name, a name for a blog or for my post. Like the one today. PLAVITY. I guess you might have guessed it already how it came into being :) This time, its only about Play time, play activity. No English, no Maths and no Hindi :) Well, can I start this without thanking once again, my dear cousin Dr Namrata Dave? She is so thoughtful to gift just the right games to my daughter Zeel! And of course VASCSC Science Shop - the company which created the play games. Now kids, if P is for PLAY you know who else has to be there. P for . . . . . . PEPPA ! Yes, lets get started! --------------------------------- ## eleze# 7 Plavity # Material Used # 1) Parking puzzle 2) Tangram 3) Tower of Brahma 4) Peppa family and friends characters Parents, a point to note here . I have used Peppa character here since I have this toy. You may use any other character available ...

My daughter designs activity for me!!

Can you believe?  My daughter designed an activity for me!  I had a big proud smile on my face...... If you still can't believe, see the snaps here.  Isn't it a wonder that the child worked out something like this! . So, she is observing, she likes the activities I do with her. I think  so. :)  It was yesterday afternoon when, Zeel had been telling me multiple times that she had designed activity for me. With a shine in her eyes, with happiness in her heart. That seemed to convey her feeling, that her mother would also love to do an activity. Excitingly, she was trying to highlight how it involves writing ( with sketch pens) and colouring. After evening playtime, how much ever I asked her to finish her home work first, she was adamant that I finish the activity. ! And I did, enjoying it fully:) Why I am sharing here in the blog is, for all of us the parents, to take cognizance of the fact that the child loves to learn if its play like, involving things they ...

Rep Spell

Hi! The bees around the world are now back to their homes. From the New Year vacation last week. Like the New Year week, I too had a theme for last week - Rep Spell. Learn and practice English spellings throughout the week. The idea sprang up as I was browsing through websites for spelling related activities. One work caught my attention. And, Rep Spell was born. Rep stands for repetition. As you will see, session 1 uses worksheet from a website - https://thisreadingmama.com/ . It came as part of a freebie item. I truly thank the website owner to have come up with such resourceful material. There are plenty on the site, I am yet to research those. Here's how Rep Spell works. --------------------------------- ## eleze# 5 Rep Spell # Material Used # 1) A4 sheets designed for this activity. Both sample and templates are attached in this post. 2) White crayon, Highlighter pen and Glitter pens, crayons  NOTE: Before starting, it is highly recommended that the Parent looks at the ...
